Vines & Vignettes 2011: A Fall Garden Fantasy Tour is a unique fall garden experience and fundraiser on the grounds of the historic Rose Cottage in the heart of Black Rock.
Vines & Vignettes 2011 will evoke the spirit of the autumn season just as colors will start to turn. Some of Fairfield County’s finest landscape architects, nurseries and garden antiques dealers will create more than a dozen vignettes using the tranquil garden spaces, ponds and walkways of this verdant three-acre property, once part of the spectacular George Hotel on the waterfront at St. Mary’s-By-the-Sea.
V&V invites visitors to spend the day strolling through the beautiful garden and terrace vignettes, enjoying wonderful food, wine tasting, live jazz and garden-related lectures. “It will be a journey through the fall season, a celebration of harvest and holiday traditions, and a perfect opportunity to purchase that “special something” to take home,” promise organizers.
