TREES: The Art of Amy Bock opens at Troy Fine Art with a reception 6-9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16
“It’s a creation of a sense of place, a window to look through; I seek to transport myself and the viewer to experience another place, to see and feel the beauty of nature”, says Bock who works in oil paint on board or canvas, and oil stick on paper, sometimes combining the two. These images allow the viewer a personal interpretation and the mystique each season can bring.
Bock received a BFA in Drawing and Painting from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn , NY. Her postgraduate studies continued at The School of Visual Arts, Parsons School of Design, The New School for Social Research, Polakov; Studio & Forum of Stage Design, New York, N.Y.
Trees is on display through Oct. 6.
