In its new home in New London, the Expressiones Cultural Center invites local and regional artists to participate in their first juried exhibit.
The focus in on the theme of ‘Love’; love in all its forms: real, abstract, devotional, objective, etc.
The juror is Jeffrey W. Cooley, Director of the Cooley Gallery, in Old Lyme. Founded in 1981, the Cooley Gallery specializes in fine American paintings from the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries, including the Hudson River School, American Impressionism, and select contemporary artists.
The exhibit is open to all artists 18 years of age or older. All forms of media are welcome, but work must be original. Sculpture must be reasonable in weight. Work that is to be hung must measure 60 inches or less in either direction and be ready to hang with wire – no saw tooth hangers please.
First Prize – $250, Second Prize – $150, Third Prize – $100.

The exhibit will run from Saturday, September 24 through Sunday, November 5, with an artists reception on Saturday, September 24,
from 6-8 p.m.
Receiving: Friday, September 16, from 11 until 6 and Saturday September 17, from 10 – 2
