April showers bring May flowers. May flowers bring a new show at Read’s Artspace.
This year’s annual spring/summer show once again features work from Read’s residents and their invited guests.
The exhibit features works of diverse subject matter and style and speaks to the idea that art is a product of constant change, influence, and fruition. At left is a piece from B.M. Riley, who “draws his inspiration from pop culture, comic books, cartoons, t.v. and film, and artists like Robert Crumb, Dr. Seuss, and Terry Gilliam. The pieces in Bloom are meditations on doubt, fertility, and fetishism.”
The opening will feature work from nearly 40 artists, live music, and refreshments. $5 suggested donation
