A gay-themed show in time for Pride Month has a definite punk feel.
To celebrate Gay Pride month without restraint, TNC Gallery in lower Manhattan offers “Queer from Zero to One Hundred” with more than 200 works by nine “more or less gay and queer artists.” When we were putting together SameSex for City Lights, I wish we had thought of that phrase.
Featuring work by Pete Hocking, Scooter LaForge (“Golden Books on acid”) and Julie Smith , it opens raucously on June 21 from 6-9pm .and closes Aug. 9. Knock you off your feet work also by Ricky Longo-Burrows, Tracy Phillips, Barnaby Whitfield, Aaron Miller and (WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE THIS!) Johnny Rozsa.
