The first place we visited will filled with artistry, and all half-off. But for a very sad reason. The artist-owner passed away, and his widow is closing up shop.
Anthony Sindoni and his wife, Karen, opened Artistic Hand Blown Glass three year ago and filled their shop with the colorful, often flamboyant hand-blown glass items, some reminiscent of Murano’s finest pieces.
We picked up a playful red starfish and a glass bracelet that we’re told is made of Pyrex. They get lost more than they get broken, we were assured. We’ll see.
They also have Christmas ornaments, lamps, vases, bowls and other ornaments.
Next, we visited a gallery that recently moved in from Greenwich. Its brash owner was kicked out of art class as a child, and now he’s representing artists from all over the world, and hanging some bold works of his own. To be continued…
