In August, Mr. Beckford shot scenes at the Spectrum of Colors “White” exhibit at Nest — a show that I unfortunately had to miss.
Some attendees posted snaps online, and I had the impression that I hadn’t missed much. But later, his photos I found posted online gave me a sense of place and swirling action, I wished I had been there after all.
I asked for his card when I saw him at a later show.
Beckford is originally from St. Andrews, Jamaica and immigrated to Bridgeport in 1992. A University of Connecticut graduate with a BS in molecular biology, Beckford’s portfolio includes commercial projects such as commissioned fashion and portrait work as well as his fine art photography.
