I can’t be the only person around redesigning their newspaper, can I? Other than Philly, I have no idea of any other Region 1 redesign projects. I’m curious, and I’d like to share stories.
We’re at the part of our redesign stage where I have stopped making design decisions. Now I have to explain them, and train designers and paginators in four newsrooms to design in concert.
Picking fonts and color palettes was fun. This is not the fun part.
What’s a good format for a design/style guide? Should it be long and exhaustive, or short enough to get people started? I wrote and designed a design guide for our Go supplement last year, and I have yet to see anyone read it. I want this to be read.
Anyone out there have any advice?
