It must be spring. Art al fresco is back in downtown Bridgeport. This is an open invitation to gather across from the library on Broad Street for an unveiling.
The winner of the art competition was KHyal Kouture (capital H intended), who was one of the more interesting participants in Sweetport last year. You’ve probably seen her at various art openings — willowy blonde with a backpack, made of metal last time I noticed. Very inventive!
Since there is a reception at Tiago’s afterwards, you can bet the same cheese vultures, or “seagulls” to some, will be there, too. They were noticeably absent from City Light’s last event, which asked for a $10 donation at the door. But they returned to City Lights last Friday. They obviously read Charlie Walsh’s column on how to eat for free in the city.
